Our Leinster Square Project with TateHindle Architects is now well under way on site. The open-cut basement excavation beneath seven grade II townhouses has resulted in an impressive temproary double height space which will eventually be used to form a communal gym and additional floorspace for the traditional townhouses.
Party walls have been underpinned with internal structure supported on a grillage of temporary steelwork needles and over 100 piles. In the rear garden contiguous piling has been used to form a cantilever retaining wall creating what will be a private sunken garden.
Works are proceeding ahead of schedule on this complicated and landlocked site with current contractor Trenchco. The entire scheme is due to be completed in early 2018.
