HTS joins support for the Architects' Journal #RetroFirst campaign

We are delighted to see a letter of support by Will Hurst for the Architects’ Journal #RetroFirst campaign published in The Times. The letter urges the government to adopt the recommendations of the campaign which calls for an increase in regulation for the reuse of existing buildings including cutting VAT on refurbishment projects, amending planning guidance and an insistence on retrofit strategies for publicly-funded projects.

As environmentally-conscious engineers we place retrofit and reuse at the heart of our approach and recognise the impact that reusing existing buildings has to play in the road to reach net zero. HTS is proud to have joined the growing number of practices and individuals supporting the campaign, with Mark Tillett a signatory for the letter alongside many others.
