Kelly Harrison presented at TRADA’s Better Timber Building Conference yesterday at the Royal Geographical Society, Kensington.
Kelly spoke about how HTS have used TRADA’s National Structural Timber Specification (NSTS) in the award winning Import Building, where we partially infilled the atrium with an exposed glulam frame and CLT slab structure, and the timber extension to the Old Gramophone Works Building. Kelly also discussed the timber atrium and pavilion at the Export Building currently on site and part of the wider Republic masterplan.
In the same session Greg Cooper from Hybrid Structures explained the NSTS specification documents.
Also at the conference, Will Wallace, Aishling Browne, and Gustaf Granstrom met with industry leaders and specialists on hot topics such as fire, durability and acoustics. At the HTS stand we showcased our experience and enthusiasm for engineered timber.
