David Wanley

David has over eleven years’ experience as a London based structural engineer. He is passionate about working on refurbishment projects in residential and commercial settings and enjoys the technical challenges that refurbishment of historic structures can bring.

David began his career at Structure Mode and worked primarily on of high-end residential refurbishments and developments. As a senior structural engineer, he was responsible for several private residential basement developments below existing structures within Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. At StructureMode David was involved in a number of refurbishments to listed and historic buildings, such as the German Embassy London (grade I), Hampstead high street (grade I, circa 1600’s construction) and the ZDF Television Studios London (grade II*).

Since joining Heyne Tillett Steel in 2013, David has worked on commercial refurbishments at Dartmouth Street, Pall Mall and Cavendish Square. He has also supplemented his experience of refurbishment works to listed buildings and knowledge of historic building structures on a mix of high-end private residential developments, including works at Upper Grosvenor Street (grade II), Carlyle Square, Eaton Square and Park Lane.

David is currently involved with reconfiguration of a mixed use buildings at Duke Street and private residential projects at Queens Grove, Devonshire Place (grade II), and St Mary Abbots Place.
