Dee Voaden

Associate

BEng (Hons) CEng MIStructE

University of Exeter

Dee is enthusiastic about building structures, specialising in complex refurbishment projects on constrained urban sites.

Since joining Heyne Tillett Steel in 2013 Dee has worked on a variety of refurbishment and new build projects across the sectors. These include the refurbishment and extension of four existing, interconnected load-bearing masonry and steel buildings at Mount Pleasant and the development of the Grade II listed site at Portobello Dock, including the construction of a new contemporary pavilion.

Dee is currently working on the redevelopment of a site in Clerkenwell which will see the refurbishment and extension of an existing Victorian school building and the construction of a new hotel, and a part-new build part refurbishment project in Bethnal Green to provide new co-working office accommodation.

Dee started her career with Clarkebond engineering and management consultants in 2002 working in their Exeter office as a CAD Technician. She developed a passion for engineering and went on to complete a degree at the University of Exeter. After graduating Dee joined Scott White and Hookins consulting engineers in their Winchester office and was involved in a wide range of projects in both the public and private sectors.

Dee became a Chartered member of the IStructE in 2017 and was promoted to Associate in 2018.
