Ella Warren

Ella joined HTS in 2014 and has since led a variety of projects, from private residential and commercial offices to education and public buildings. Ella is a versatile engineer, creative and visual, but with a highly organised and technical approach. She has extensive experience in the redesign and reuse of existing buildings, specifically those in the cultural and commercial sectors.

Ella is passionate about sustainable structural design and sits on the practice’s Timber Focus Group. She regularly contributes to design reviews and leads discussions on timber-frame projects at HTS. Ella’s current projects include The Hickman, a complex three storey extension on an existing building and the Alkerden Academy, a new education campus in Kent. Other recent projects include Battersea Arts Centre, most notably the rebuild of the ‘Grand Hall’ after a fire and refurbishment of a Grade II Listed building as well as Hannington Farm, a new build private residence utilising crosslaminated timber and glulam frames.

She began her career at Buro Happold in London after completing her degree in Structural Engineering and Architecture in 2007 before relocating to Melbourne, Australia for three years where she continued her career at a structural consultants.
