James Morgan

Director

BEng (Hons) CEng MIStructE

University of Plymouth

James is an experienced engineer who enjoys the challenge of developing structural solutions which integrate new designs into existing buildings. He is passionate about designing clever and creative solutions to complex engineering problems and the benefits they can bring to a project, as well as the positive impact that good design has on a community.

James has successfully led large-scale commercial, residential and cultural developments in the UK and overseas. He is currently working on the renovation of a Grade II listed theatre in Camden; the refurbishment of a 1920’s office building in the West End; the renovation of listed town hall buildings and 200 new-build homes in Hornsey and an eight-storey new-build office building in Shoreditch with a two-storey basement across the full footprint of the site.

After graduating from the University of Plymouth in 2002 James began his career at Jacobs. He spent five years working for Meinhardt in their Melbourne office, completing the extension to Melbourne airports international terminal and returned to London in late 2010. James joined Heyne Tillett Steel in 2011 and became a Director in 2018.
