Tom Jarman

Associate

Tom is an Associate at Heyne Tillett Steel (HTS), with over 15 years’ experience working as a Structural Technician, working on complex schemes ranging from adapting existing listed buildings to new large commercial scale developments using various methods and materials. Tom is comfortable working in the BIM environment with various BRE certified BIM credentials, along with completing numerous BIM level 2 projects.

Before joining HTS in 2014, Tom began work as a CAD technician whilst obtaining a BSc in Civil Engineering part-time. After graduating, he worked for a contractor as a section engineer – where he helped develop the temporary works department, expanding their approach to modelling 3D elements, using Autodesk Revit.
At HTS, Tom is working on developing the new apprenticeship scheme, which focuses on alternative routes into engineering for young people, offering an effective training programme in hand with career guidance. The idea is this will help maintain the high standards set by HTS whilst supporting each apprentices' goals and development.

Tom was promoted to Principal Technician in April 2023 and to Associate in September 2023.
