A new-build commercial development on a vacant brownfield site in Southwark.
The location is adjacent to a Network Rail owned viaduct and close to the London Underground Jubilee line tunnels.
The four storey building is of reinforced concrete framed construction, incorporating two inclined feature cruiciform columns to support one end of the building and exposed concrete finishes. Innovative heating and cooling pipes are integrated into the floor slabs which utilise the thermal mass of the structure. The building is supported on piled foundations, and ground movements have been assessed and monitored throughout the project to protect the Jubilee Line tunnels below the site.
