A new two storey private house has been created in a woodland setting within the Surrey countryside. The scheme involved the demolition of an existing 1960s bungalow which occupied the site and the construction of a new, timber framed house as well as an external swimming pool. As a condition of planning permission the new structure is required to sit within the footprint of the former building.
Two intersecting black boxes are wrapped in vertical larch cladding and the boards were cut and joined on site with a bespoke timber jig.
The project was completed in the summer of 2016.
