Housed in a revitalised Victorian wool warehouse, The Loom provides 100,000 sqft of unique workspace in the heart of Whitechapel. The refurbishment celebrates the Grade II listed structure with designs by Duggan Morris Architects which incorporate modern interventions that resonate with the building’s history.
Structural framing works through the original masonry walls have opened up the reception and office space, improving connectivity through the building and a new plant deck has been added on the roof.
The works were completed whilst the upper floors of the building were fully occupied by multiple tenants and required careful consideration to the phasing and logistics.
