A new build 12 storey development in Putney which provides 130,000 square foot of residential space above 35,000 square foot of commercial space. The basement contains plant and a carpark to serve the residential.
The structure is a reinforced concrete frame with flat slab construction at high level and beam and slab arrangement at the commercial floors. The structure overhangs at the front façade with a 4.5m cantilever provided by fin walls and upstand beams. The set back of the floors at upper levels has meant a careful coordination of the structure to ensure no downstand beams are required. The facades are clad in brickwork and punctuated by a pattern of protruding winter gardens and balconies also clad in brickwork. This has meant careful thought and detailing to overcome cold bridging and the requirements for movement joints.
