The project involved the complete redevelopment of a group of existing buildings on Regent Street in London. A number of these buildings are listed. The larger of the buildings were re-cored and extended to the rear to create further floor space for office and retail use.
The building on Great Castle Street was demolished and rebuilt behind a retained façade to provide residential accommodation on the upper floors and retail space below.
The site is situated above the tunnels and escalator shafts of Oxford Circus tube station requiring careful design of the new building foundation to limit the effects of the construction of the tunnels below.
