Located within the London Borough of Camden, the scheme involves the introduction of a large basement within the rear garden space and under the entire footprint of the existing house. With challenging ground conditions and complex neighbourly issues to deal with, HTS provided a comprehensive and detailed Basement Impact Assessment, in collaboration with specialist geotechnical advice from GEA, to fully comply with Camdens latest 2015 draft CPG4 basement development policy. HTS also successfully negotiated approval through the independent checking engineers Campbell Reith, who will be used for all future BIA checking with the London Borough of Camden.
